"For it is You who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, and by my God I an leap over a wall. This God - His way is PERFECT; the Word of the Lord proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him. For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?" Psalm 18: 28-31
I am thankful that God's Word speaks to us in real life situations. We are in a global crisis, and in the natural there are no answers, no fixes, no human way out of it. BUT GOD! There are no medicines that can change this virus. BUT GOD!
There are not enough hospitals, supplies, food and paper products! BUT GOD!
This is the time we need to realize it has always been BUT GOD! If it was not for God none of us would make it in this world. Now we are going to see the reality of this in the days, and weeks ahead.
BUT GOD - God is the one that Lights our lamp, and lightens our darkness. These are dark times, and people realize that even in NYC, we see the darkness, discouragement, depression that is mounting. But as a child of the living God, He LIGHTS our darkness. Even in dark times, we have His Presence, His Peace and His Provision. This is the time for the Church (not a building) but His people to shine bright for Jesus Christ.
BUT GOD - God gives us strength when we are weak and see not way out of the situations of life. "I can run against a troop, and by my God, I can leap over a wall." This is a time to live with His Strength in our daily lives. Paul tells us - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Today, let us not give up, throw in the towel and quit, but this is the time to walk in the strength of the Lord.
BUT GOD - God's Will, God's Ways, and God's Word is perfect! Right now there is not much perfect in this world, with the virus, shortages, fear and anxiety. But God is and always will be perfect.
BUT GOD - is my shield, my protector as I take refuge in Him. In the natural we are trying to protect ourselves, with social spacing, staying in our homes, wearing masks and gloves, and we need to do these things. But I am thankful that as a Child of God - He is my shield, He is my protector and we can take refuge in Him.
BUT GOD - is my Rock! A rock is a place of stability and security. Right now nothing is stable and nothing is secure in this world. But God is my Rock!
Today, Lord, help me to rest in knowing that we OUR GOD IS THE ONLY ONE THAT IS GOING TO SEE US THROUGH THE CRISIS THAT WE ARE LIVING THROUGH RIGHT NOW!
"I love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my Rock, and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, My rock, in whom I take refuge." Psalm 18: 1-2
