"And Jesus told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart....Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" Luke 18: 1, 8
Jesus tells us a parable about a woman went to a judge that did not care about God or man. She kept going to the judge, but got nowhere. But this women kept coming back day after day, and finally the judge was worn down and gave her what she was looking for.
Jesus says that God will give justice to his servants, who cry to him day and night. God will give them justice speedily. But our responsibility is to pray, cry out to God day and night. Why do we give up praying? Because we really do not have faith that God is listening to us, and is going to do anything for us.
Jesus says - "When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?" Will he find real faith in the House of God?
Faith is needed to pray in impossible situations.
Right now we are confronted with a pandemic virus, and there is the virus, and then there is fear about the virus. The church must become like this widow and pray day and night, and have faith that God is in control even in this situation.
Jesus tells us that worry will not change anything, but prayer and faith is the key to seeing a miracle in this world. Trials and tragedies are real, but God is real and He rules and reigns.
Today instead of fear gripping our hearts, minds, and spirits, let us cry out to the Lord in faith! Lord, help us to persist in faith and not be controlled by fear! "We walk by faith and not by sight!"
Today, we trust in You Lord!
