"For You formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance in Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you." Psalm 139: 13-18
All lives matter to God, because we are the masterpiece of Almighty God! God was involved in the miracle of our creation! God formed us, knitted us together in our mother's womb. God was involved in every detail of our lives. God created us with His divine purpose and plan for our lives. Think about that wonder of birth and life.
We are all different! We all have different stories of how we came into this world. We all have different experiences and some are good and some are very difficult! We all have different family situations and some are very healthy, and some where not ideal. Some of us have had joy and happiness in our families, and others have had difficulty, pain and heartache. But God created us, made us and has a purpose for every one of our lives.
When we are discouraged and feel hopeless, worthless, and without value, because of circumstances in our lives. We need to remember that every single person has hope, worth and value in Jesus Christ. We should give people hope, worth and value as well, because we are all made in the image of God.
* God created me! When we struggle we need to remember that God formed my inward parts, knitted me together. And my response should be to praise the Lord - because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
* God has a plan and a purpose for me! Life changes when you realize that God has a God given purpose for your life! I grew up battling self-worth and struggling in some areas. When God called me into ministry as a teenager, I feel so unworthy, doubted that it was God that would want me. But in a time of devotions and prayer the Lord spoke to me from His Word: This is the verse that holds me steady in the difficult times: "You did not choose me, but I CHOSE YOU AND APPOINTED YOU that YOU SHOULD GO AND BEAR FRUIT, AND THAT YOUR FRUIT SHOULD ABIDE, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you." God has chosen us to serve Him! What a miracle that God wants me, even when people do not want us.
* God has given me a birthday into this world, and Jesus given me a birthdate of salvation, and one day we will have a graduation day. Life is not just what happens while I am here on planet earth, but if I know Jesus I will graduate and be with the Lord forevermore. Every day of my life has been planned and ordered by the Lord, before I was even born. Wow!
You are a living miracle because God has and is deeply involved in our lives.
With all the hopelessness, hatred, injustices, pain in our world, we need to be people that bring hope, love, mercy, grace and value every single person, because that is God's plan for His children! We are all family, because we were all created by the same Heavenly Father!
Lord, I thank You for Your Word today!
