“Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation!” Luke 11:2-4

Jesus is teaching His disciples on the area of prayer. Prayer is what connects us to the Father, because we can do nothing without Him. If we are not connected then we miss out on His Presence, His Peace and His Provision.

Prayer starts with worship and praise as we focus on Him!

We then pray for God’s will and kingdom to be accomplished in our lives and situations. Life works so much better when we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness!

Then we can bring our needs to the Lord. Lord give me what I need today! Jesus tells us not to worry about tomorrow because today has enough evil of its own! Lord this is what I need today!

Jesus teaches us the healing that comes through forgiveness. Forgiven people realize the freedom of forgiving others, because Jesus has forgiven me of all my sin!

Then we need to pray that the Lord will protect us from every trick and scheme of the enemy that is our to steal, kill and destroy us. We need to pray that the Lord will put His hedge of protection around us and our family!

Lord, thank you for the privilege of prayer with my Heavenly Father!
